SUNY OLD WESTBURY LEGENDARY HOMECOMING - A NIGHT OF HIP HOP HISTORY AND UNITY

Old Westbury, NY, October 4, 2025:
History was made at SUNY Old Westbury as The 5th Element of Hip Hop Tour brought together pioneers, legends, and future leaders for an unforgettable night of music, empowerment, and community. The Legendary Homecoming Concert honored the timeless essence of Hip Hop, bridging generations through rhythm, rhyme, and respect.

The stage came alive with electrifying performances by Kool Moe Dee & The Treacherous 3, Kurtis Blow, Chubb Rock, MC Sha Rock, Sparky D, DJ Chuck Chillout, DLB & The Fearless Four, and hosted by the incomparable Dr. Bob Lee (WBLS). Each artist brought not only their iconic hits but also a spirit of unity, inspiration, and reverence for Hip Hop’s global impact.

The event marked another milestone for The Hip Hop Alliance, the first union of Hip Hop artists advocating for fair wages, health benefits, and education, now celebrating its official 501(c)(3) nonprofit status.

Executive Director Rev. Dr. Kurtis Blow Walker said,

“This was more than a concert, it was a cultural celebration. SUNY Old Westbury opened its doors for Hip Hop history to unfold, and we witnessed love, respect, and legacy in motion.”

The evening also highlighted the ongoing collaboration between The Hip Hop Alliance, NJPAC, SAG AFTRA, The Art of Rap, Building Bridges, and the New York State Assembly, reaffirming their commitment to supporting education, artistry, and equity within the culture.
